Nicole Tanjutco

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (2014) and a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development (2022), both from Towson University. She began her career in education in the public school systems of Baltimore County and Montgomery County before joining The Diener School in 2015 as a teaching assistant. Within a year, she advanced to lead teacher and later became the Middle School Learning Skills Specialist, a role she held until 2023. Now serving as Diener’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Nicole brings a deep understanding of individualized learning, instructional planning, and teacher development. From 2019 to 2022, she also led the school’s summer program as Camp Director. In addition to her leadership roles, Nicole established and advises the Student Government, promoting student voice, leadership, and community engagement. She also leads Diener’s mentorship program for new teachers, providing ongoing guidance and professional development to support their growth and successful integration into the school community. Nicole’s professional training includes executive functioning strategies, Multisensory Math, Phono-Graphix, IMSE Intermediate Orton-Gillingham, Orton-Gillingham Plus, StudySync, Learning Ally, and Fast ForWord. She is also certified in CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and trained in transformational leadership, group dynamics, and project management. Nicole was a participant in the AIMS Emergent Leader Seminar, where she deepened her leadership capacity and strategic perspective within independent school education. As Chair of Diener’s AIMS Accreditation Steering Committee, she is committed to continuous school improvement and maintaining high standards of educational excellence.
