The Diener School is currently seeking the following positions:

1) Speech Language Pathologist

The Diener School is seeking a full time SLP to provide individualized treatment plans, group therapy, and classroom instruction on social skills and consultation services for children with communication and language-based learning needs. MA/MS in speech language pathology and Maryland licensure required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the clinical or school setting. A greater understanding of social pragmatic skills is preferred. Contract is based on a school calendar with some additional part time work over the summer. 100% paid employee health insurance and 403 (b) available. Must be an enthusiastic professional who will bring creative energy and work collaboratively with our dedicated Diener team.

2) Special Education Partner Teacher

We are currently seeking a Special Education Partner Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Education.

Job responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with teaching partner in the areas of classroom design, classroom
management
• Responsible for multi-sensory lesson planning and implementation, report writing, and data gathering
• Communication and collaboration with administration, staff, therapists and families
• Demonstrate professional flexibility, a growth mindset, optimism, and a sense of humor
• Demonstrate initiative, confidence, and joy in aspects of work and in front of teaching partner, other colleagues, parents, and students
• Demonstrate an ability and willingness to collaborate with teaching partner
• Implementing behavioral programs and sensory diets
• Frequently discuss and reflect on teaching partnership as it relates to professional work and professional growth
• Demonstrate a commitment to team work
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with teaching partner on all aspects of the position, including student progress and information
