Student Profile
We specialize in educating students who benefit from a smaller classroom setting and a personalized approach to learning. Our mission is to support students with diverse learning profiles in building the academic, social and emotional skills they need to thrive, in school and in life. Rather than focus on diagnoses, we recognize the strengths and talents each student brings and we provide the tools, structure, and encouragement to help them succeed.
At The Diener School, we welcome students with unique learning profiles who may benefit from the following integrated classroom supports:
Executive Function Skills – For children who are bright and creative but may need help with planning, organization, time management, or working memory.
Sensory Processing Strategies – For students who are highly attuned to their environments and benefit from tools and strategies that help regulate sensory input and maintain focus.
Social-Emotional Learning – For children honing their social skills, emotional regulation, perspective taking and peer interactions in a structured, supportive setting.
Our students may have a diagnosis or profile from the list below. We view these not as limitations but as launch points for individualized growth.
- Executive Function Challenges
- Learning Disabilities in Reading, Writing and/or Math
- ADHD
- Sensory Processing Disorders
- Social Skill Delays
- Anxiety
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
